Face

  1. Cleanse your face thoroughly to remove any makeup, dirt, or impurities. Pat your skin dry.
  2. Apply a your serum, face oil or moisturizer. Use a few drops of your chosen product and distribute it evenly across your face and neck.
  3. Hold your Gua Sha with the curved side to your face. Gently glide it starting with the neck. Make sure you’re stroking down the neck, never upwards, to drain fluid.
  4. Next move onto your jawline, chin and around the mouth, stroking the skin between three and five times per area, upward. Always take short strokes in just one direction, not back and forth. If you want to reduce puffiness, work lightly, then more firmly, to relax muscles.
  5. Pressing the tool flat to the skin, next delicately stroke under the eyes or over any redness, to soothe and de-puff.
  6. Finally, work the tool in small horizontal strokes over the brow bone to lift, or hold and press upwards between the brows to release tension.

Breast Massage - For use during breastfeeding

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position, and expose your breast. You can use a breastfeeding pillow to support your baby while you massage.

Apply Pregnancy Oil or Balm

Apply a small amount of our breastfeeding-friendly oil or balm to your breast. This will help the gua sha tool glide smoothly and prevent any friction.

Hold the gua sha tool in one hand and place it gently against your breast, starting at the outer edge.

Here are some specific steps for the gua sha breastfeeding massage:

  1. Stroke from the Outer Edge to the Nipple:
  2. Using light to moderate pressure, stroke from the outer edge of your breast (near the armpit) towards the nipple.
  3. Repeat this motion 3-5 times for each stroke.
  4. Focus on Areas of Tension:
  5. Pay special attention to any areas of tension, lumps, or engorgement in the breast tissue.
  6. Use gentle, upward strokes to release tension and improve circulation.
  7. Be sure to avoid the areola and nipple during the massage.

Repeat on the Other Breast:

  • After completing the massage on one breast, switch to the other breast and repeat the same steps.
  • Clean the Gua Sha Tool
  • After using the gua sha tool for breastfeeding massage, clean it with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry.
  • Continue with Nursing

Following the gua sha massage, you can continue with breastfeeding or pumping as needed to ensure proper milk drainage and relieve engorgement.

Store your gua sha tool in the clean pouch for future use.

Remember to use gentle and controlled pressure during the massage, especially if your breasts are tender or sore.

* If you experience any discomfort or if engorgement persists, consult with a lactation consultant, healthcare provider, or a breastfeeding specialist for additional guidance and support. Gua sha massage should complement, not replace, proper breastfeeding techniques and care.
